'Dance of Death' synopsis!

The French call it ‘Les Morts Dansant’ The Dancing Death. It is also the title of a song made famous by British Rock band ‘Magnum’ which tells the story of the death by firing squad of British boy soldiers during World War 1. A total in excess of 300 men and boys were shot at dawn by their own. Soldiers were blameless because it was severe psychological trauma, not cowardice that rendered them physically unable to cope with the shocking scenes they had witnessed. Dance of Death tells the fictional story of Jack Webster, a 15-year-old boy who enlists because of certain peer pressures he faces from the community he lives in. The bravado he feels soon fades when he comes face to face with the horrors of trench warfare and it is not long before he starts to lose his mind.
